Real Madrid president ? No Arsenal offer, we want Higuain to stay

Real Madrid?s President Florentino Perez, as quoted by both AS and Marca has claimed that Arsenal have not made an offer for Gonzalo Higuain.
He is reported as saying
?We don?t want him to leave. And besides, nobody from Arsenal has come here to present an offer for him. Not 27 million or anything. There is no offer.?
Back on 11th June Perez was reported as saying that it would take a bid of ?30m to secure Higuain?s services and then on 21st June TalkSport reported that they had sanctioned the sale.
It?s safe to say at this point this transfer has driven deep on to the forest of the farcical.
So from terms being agreed every day for a week we now have a situation where Madrid claim Arsenal haven?t even made an offer.
Fun times.
