Scientists Devise New Methods To Catch Ivory Poachers

Scientists are now able to figure out the age of a piece of ivory, which in many cases can also reveal the date of the elephant's death. Ivory trade has been banned since 1989. So if a piece of ivory suggests an elephant died after that year, there's a good chance its owner is holding illegal goods.
